Storytelling Through Photography

Description
This workshop is an invitation to use photography — in any form it takes in our lives — as a mirror, a map, and a voice. No photography experience or professional camera is needed: a photo from a family album, an image taken with a phone, or a picture found along the way can all become tools for self-inquiry. Throughout this journey, we explore who we are, where we come from, and what stories we carry in our bodies, using the image as a starting point rather than an end in itself. This space weaves together photography, memory, emotion, and creative expression — open to anyone who wants to look inward through images. Here, the image becomes language; language becomes memory; memory becomes our own narrative.
Objetives
  • Explore photography as an emotional language and a tool for self-knowledge.

  • Develop a personal visual narrative: life, memory, dreams, identity, body.

  • Combine photography with painting, digital mark-making, and text as expressive media.

  • Create a personal body of work suitable for display in a photography exhibition.

  • Build community among participants.

Workshop themes

  • 1. Why We Narrate Ourselves

    2. The Light That Inhabits Us

    3. Color as Identity

    4. The Body as Territory

    5. Roots and Family Memory

    6. Migrating, Belonging, and Closing

    7. Composition and Lighting in Practice

    8. Intervening the Image (digital and analogue techniques)

    9. Editing as Narration Too (Lightroom & Photoshop)

    10. Conceptualizing and Planning the Final Piece
